The notification pops in your e-mail: “@SoAndSo is now following your tweets.” You are ecstatic! You are joyful! You have one more person who has deemed you worthy of a follow, of learning more about you and your ventures, of being an online friend that could grow into a devotee. Getting a new follower is easy; keeping one is the hard part. There are many ways to make a follower lose interest and hit the big “unfollow” X on your profile info. What was once a beautiful thing is now no more, over the span of 10 days in one follower’s tweeting life.

Scheduling tweets is a good way to market prior posts with the addition of different titles and or keywords as well as hashtags. Many times when you write a post people have a number of keyword searches that they use to arrive on your page. Even using due diligence when researching keywords it’s often hard to determine what keyword phrase or grouping will trigger the most viewers. By retweeing prior posts you can get them in front of the eyes of your followers that may have missed it before. Not only that, but you can and should try different keyphrases in order to generate more targeted traffic.

I thought I’d take a couple minutes today to talk about how to attract more traffic from Twitter. I recently picked up the e-book Twitter Dummy from John Paul Aulaguiar and have been putting it to the test. Since implementing some of the tips I learned here I’ve been able to quadruple my Twitter traffic in 1 month’s time. Below are just some of the things I’ve been implementing that have been working to drive traffic to my website using Twitter.

Hidy ho fellow social-medianites. I had to take a second and post a really quick tip for Hootsuite…which by the way I am starting to like more and more every day. However, I had a real issue viewing my schedules tweets. It doesn’t seem entirely intuitive so I decided to throw up a couple screen shots and show you how it’s done.

The beauty of the smart phone is that with new apps coming out all the time you don’t have to feel like you can’t have the new features everyone else does. When new apps come out you can simply download them and off you go. The following is a list of Droid apps I use all the time. Are these truly must have apps for droid? Download them for yourself and see if you can do with out them. Having these applications will drastically enhance your Android experience, but don’t take my word for it.

Being a social media specialist I manage a huge number social networks for a large number of companies. It can be a lot to keep track of after a while with all the options out there. Shortly after I lost count of all the profiles I was maintaining it became painfully obvious that I needed a program for keeping track of the social identities. With all the options out there it can be confusing to know which program to use so I put together this review to help point out the pros and cons of each.
