My Name Is Nate Bal.com…er… Nate Balcom

Who am I…Hmm…Well I can tell you where I’ve been. Which has shaped me into the person I am today.

I was born in a small town in Michigan called Owosso. I have 2 great parents and 2 siblings that are like brothers and sisters to me.

Fast forward a few years…

My story starts in the cold confines of Kalamazoo, MI After completing my Art Degree at W.M.U. I hopped in a Budget rental extended cargo van and loaded up all of my prized possessions and headed out to the West Coast.

I spent a year living off of Cherokee Ave just off Hollywood Blvd., 1 year off 3rd st. in Burbank during the SAG Strike, and yet another year back in Hollywood off of Orange Dr. just behind the Mann’s Chinese Theater in a place Called the Nirvana at the foot of the Hollywood Hills.

Fast forward a few more years…

I moved back to Michigan in 2001 after the bottom fell out of the Internet. I was supposed to leave on Sept 11, but due to the tragedy I had to wait for the 12th to head back….but that’s another story…which I’ll post here in a few.

Since then I’ve bounced from company to company. Working for in the automotive industry as a web slinger. I held a job as designer for a major lead generation company. I’ve been the lead web architect for a software company. I created animated interactive learning modules for the military,automotive and construction industries.

For the past few years I’ve been working for the same design firm on a number of web/ marketing projects. I spend my days building web sites, performing search engine optimization and designing anything handed to me.

At night I spend my time with the 2 ladies in my life. I love these girls.
