A guide to writing effective blog posts using my favorite subject zombies
The following article is an example of how to write a blog post that kills. Using the walking dead as my subject I will outline some effective blogging tips that are sure to alert hordes of traffic of your virtual whereabouts. For a zombie-free version of these tips please check out this article right here –> How To Create An Effective Blog Post.
It’s important to note that before I wrote this article I used Google’s Keyword Suggestion tool to search for a competitive list of keywords. This is the first thing you should do when writing new articles and a definite must for an effective blog post. The list I came up with is as follows.
walking dead book, the walking dead art, the walking dead book, zombie stuff, zombie outbreaks, zombie news, the zombie diaries, zombie max brooks, zombie apocalypse, zombie history, zombie infection simulation
Through out this article I will try to work in these keywords and phrases where ever applicable in turn giving my article higher keyword density and more clout for said list. That being said on with the zombies!
The list below is by no means all you will need to consider in the event of a wide spread zombie outbreak, but is a short list of good practices should the dead begin to walk the earth.
- 1. Arm yourself
- 2. Avoid heavily populated areas
- 3. Beware of your fellow survivors
- 4. Secure food and water
- 5. Stay prepared. Don’t fight zombies in your boxer shorts
- 6. Fortify your home base
- 7. Remove the head or destroy the brain
Arm Yourself

Use Custom Error Pages to Drive Traffic
Firearms and other explosives are your best bet as far as weaponry goes as you can keep some distance between yourself and advancing zombie hordes. If firearms are no where to be found many common landscaping tools can be quite effective. Axes, hatchets, pitch forks and hell even garden weasels can be used to crack undead craniums. These also have the advantage of not requiring ammunition or time to load said ammunition and can be the difference of life and death if you should find yourself being advanced on by large groups of infected.
Gasoline and other flammable liquids can be used to create Molotov cocktails which are effective once again for large groups of the walking dead. If however it truly is judgment day supplies such as petrol will become harder and harder to find.
Avoid heavily populated areas

Use Facebook Fan Pages to Drive Hordes Of Traffic To Your Website
Your first gut feeling may be safety in numbers, but in the event of a full fledged zombie outbreak this couldn’t be further from the truth. Large populations will lead to large populations of infected. Seeking out the most desolate area you can find will ensure less contact with the undead. This also means it will be harder to come by supplies so you’ll have to get resourceful. Hunting cabins, vacation homes, ranger outposts or if you’re lucky enough islands are just a few decent places to consider.
Be careful when entering any possible fortification no matter how desolate. While there may not be zombies present you may run into survivors who are not looking for company and could possibly jump you and steal what supplies you may have. Which leads me to tip #3.
Beware of your fellow survivors

3 SEO Tips For Bloggers You Haven’t Seen 100 Times Before
How well do you know the people in your group? Did you run into them while escaping a group of hungry ghouls? More importantly can you trust them? The safe answer is no. Even if these people are family members or close friends you really can’t trust anybody if they’ve been bitten. And if they haven’t suffered a fatal zombie bite they may be waiting for an opportunity to rob you blind. While this is less likely if these people are close to you it’s better to play it on the safe side. Keep any supplies you may have in one spot and ready to move at a moments notice.
Secure food and water

3 Things That Will Make Me Immediately Leave A Web Site
It’s important to stay hydrated in the event of a dead uprising. Make sure to secure any food or water when ever possible. You’ll need to keep your energy and wits about you. Carry with you bottled water, juices, trail mix, breakfast bars, canned goods, dry goods and other non perishable items. If all stores have been thoroughly looted basements and cellars are good places to look for canned fruits and vegetables. Be careful though as these are also good places to find straggling zombies.
Stay prepared. Don’t fight zombies in your boxer shorts

How to Use Ping.fm And Why You Should Be Using It Now
Try to dress as strategically as possible. If weather permits thick leather jackets can provide some protection from potentially lethal bites. While the thick cowhide may be effective with larger groups of walking dead masses it can also hinder movement. If you find yourself in a arid climate this may not be practical due to overheating. Barring the availability of chain mail garments some sporting equipment such as skate pads and shin guards can provide some protection from the dead that walk.
Fortify your home base

Got Traffic? Social Networks You Should Be Submitting To
It’s important to know you’re surroundings if you find a good place to hold up and defend yourself. Come up with at least 3 good escape routes in the event that you’re over-run by a zombie horde. Make sure to secure any doors and windows. If possible create a watch tower; possibly in a second story window. From here you will be able to see any advancing marauders and pick them off from a distance before they become a real problem.
If you have the time and means placing traps or trip wires in possible vulnerable areas is a good idea. Since the undead lack any real brain power low lying barbed wire, razor wire or even just fencing can slow them down. Again if you have the time and the means to fortify your encampment it can mean a difference of life and death.
Be creative and use what you have at your disposal to create weaponry. Holes can be carved into make shift barriers to provide protection from the lifeless while creating strategic firing positions from with-in your base.
Remove the head or destroy the brain
This is the most important tip that you can follow right here. It’s important to remove the head or destroy the brain if you don’t want your attackers to get back up again. A gunshot, spear, pick axe or sledge hammer to the chest may slow a zombie down, but will not eliminate it as a threat. If you have a firearm aim for the head or base of the skull. If you don’t have gun this task will be far more gruesome. Do what ever you have to do to destroy the brain. It’s the only way to be sure a zombie doesn’t get back up.
That’s all for now survivors. In the event of World War Z these tips should give you a leg up on the flesh eaters. Remember to be creative, pack light and move fast.
Good luck. ![]()
